Nice shots!

Judging from the decay, the paint, the condition of the washrooms, I'm thinking this school closed... when? last week? ;)

Great shots!

How did you work out the lighting for that stage shot? It looks fantastic.

I love old schools. these are cool, but the 1st and last are my favorites.

40+ year olds with Myspace pages are not cool, they are pediphiles on the prowl. Buyer beware.

Thanks everyone!

Ardamass - Well, off the Trinity QUITE a ways...about 450 miles!

Musket Boy - Yeah, I was upgraded to full member status last week and I think with that I can add locations. Thanks!

gutfree - Thanks! The lighting for the stage shot was actually a huge mistake...if you read the story Associated with the location, it explains what happened in detail with the lighting.

u25680 - Yeah, those are my faves from here too.

Correct...they say that the school was used for the sets of the frat house and the restroom scenes, but I didn't notice anywhere in the place that looked like it had been modified for that purpose. And there was NO tagging in it, which was both wonderful to see, and indicative that this place hadn't been breached until REAL recently, probably by other UE folks rather than by those meddling kids (taggers)!

Thanks again folks...

monster - Nope, no doors...but then again, no users anymore either!

lesscrafted - Thanks! As for my light source, it depends on the image.

Light sources, in order:

#1 - The moon primarily, with sodium vapor lamps in several directions and a splash of xenon flashlight on the entry area for detail

#2 - LED Flashlight

#3 - LED Flashlight & red-gelled strobe

#4 - LED Flashlight

#5 - LED Flashlight & partially red-gelled strobes (partially, by accident!)

I was going to ask where *you've* been lately, then I saw your gender. Lots of schools take the doors off of the stalls in the mens rooms. And even if the school is newly built (like the middle school in Grand Prairie, built in a horse pasture in 2002), the girl's locker room has individual showers, but the boy's locker room has one big shower. It's like a test of manliness, or something. It certainly ensures that anyone who is the least bit insecure is kept in his rightful place at the absolute bottom of the social order.

That would have been me, of course. Damn, I hated that f***ing locker room.

J'ai toujours fait une prière à Dieu, qui est fort courte.
La voici: "Mon Dieu, rendez nos ennemis bien ridicules!"
Dieu m'a exaucé.

you really have a touch for bringing out the character of the sites that you visit. keep up the excellent work.

...the wings on my shoes shrank now the moths won't eat my kidneys, when i shake my state capital it only yields 3 fairy napkins, but how do i know my banana slippers are like water boats because when the moon winks it burns my hamster punches, and that's how you get to llama school rowing your canoe backwards up main street when the front bumper falls off, do mermaids get to drink orange juice?
