please explain how it is distracting? most images in galleries are hung using similar borders, I like them, so how about you look inside the border at the images.

make the borders black, it will bring out the detail around the edges

I dont find the borders distracting. The white border enhances the photos in my opinion. Very nice work and spot on exposures.

Great work.

Never put a black border on a night shot. The dark edges would blend in with the border and you will lose the photos presence.

The 2nd is nice, but it's just well... nice and dull. Like seeing too many sunsets. The 3rd is my favourite. It's a kids sandpit in the sky. The sky came out way better than I was exepected for overcast London. Shame about the junk on the right of the frame.

Damn yall for starting so bloody late... not worried about missing southwark but the rest showed much much much potential.

I agree, I'm not a fan of borders either. Although on UER they sometimes seem necessary. I prefer showing the photos in a gallery with the page background being either white or black (depending on the set of photos) thus eliminating the need for a border. Think of a more modern art gallery example, plain white walls and ceilings, and the images just hang there. No border necessary.

However on UER with the gray or blue backgrounds it might sometimes look better to have a border, but I say slim it down a bit.

As for the photos, they are some great nice shots. Concerning the second one, did you ever see that photoshop model making technique racetraitor posted about? This image could look neat if you tried that, I know I've been getting into it recently with mixed results.

Here's racetraitor's post about it:
