If my government scares me, does that make them terrorists?

STFU and stop asking questions !

I sure know that I've been asked a few times what my interest was in photographing locations, if I worked with greenpeace, and if I was a muslim. Seriously.

-I have beard
-I carry a camera and a compact set of binoculars
-I don't really fit in
-I do summer yardwork with a shemagh on my head and I wear it around my face while shoveling the driveway in the winter
-I collect military surplus and communist party crap

My only saving grace is my Canadian nationality; our government is composed of ass clowns, not scary make-you-disappear ass clowns.

In times of a declared war, the government is god, or at least it's the foot and your the ant. You can easily get squashed!

i dunno..... i always have trouble squishing ants.... except those fat carpenter ants. (wow now i'm thinking about what i just said metaphorically, it makes sense.) so in other words, be the tiny red ant. you seem harmless, but together, you can kick some ass.

There once was a newspaper who was having a pun contest. A man sent in 10 different puns hoping one would win. Sadly, no pun in ten did.

Yeah, I have a beard too and at times, wear my hair long. My brother commented that I look like an Arab. I had a good chuckle at that.

Plus with my bulk, I look like I am hiding something under my winter jacket.

So far, no arrests for me or being detained. Maybe I look like a nice terrorist.

yup. been there done that.

my HS principal labeled me a terrorist cause he found out i had been making homemade fireworks off campus... but, at least the state troopers knew that sparklers and smoke powder don't equal 9/11.

after that he labeled me a cyber-terrorist cause i "hacked through the sonic wall" using hidebehind.net webproxy and looked up a picture of a katana i already own, no joke. it was a fun last two months of my senior year.

but it's a-fricking-mazing what a lawyer and threat of lawsuit can do, ;) i got to walk with the rest of my class and everything.

i still got a three week - 12 school day vacation out of it though.

and hell i don't even look like a terrorist, lol.

How can this be? After carefully reviewing this Michigan State Police public message I've reach this inescapable and startling conclusion.
That terrorist is a Federal Agent! A member of the FBI.

These terrorists are indeed clever, they have not only infiltrated the DHS, they are cleverly making public warning messages and casing their soft, juicy targets at the same time.
They are above suspicion, and even have not only the starry eyed locals help them, but police too!
The man diving the SUV was an FBI double agent terrorist actor/terrorist!
Who will believe me?

Remember, if you see an LEO pretending to be a terrorist, they are! In fact an LEO is now more likely to be a terrorist than the average gawking, slack jawed tourist.
Above all, trust no actors!

Think about it...

In the US without a press pass, even on public property, that argument may buy you more trouble they you can imagine.
In times of a declared war, the government is god, or at least it's the foot and your the ant. You can easily get squashed! Shit happens too... those fuckers you never heard from again... know I'm right!

People need to read the laws passed since 911 in the USA. You won't believe what they can do.

We're not in a declared war, so there are still some things that they can't do.

Oh, and not everyone overreacts. In 2002, I decided to take b&w photos of some electrical towers in Niagara Falls that border the golf course, just for art's sake. Instead of calling the police on me, the groundskeeper instead told me that his brother was selling some of his camera equipment. If it wasn't for the fact that I was short on money, as per usual, I would have asked him for details. Anyway, I finished up and walked away, with no law enforcement involvement, and ended up with some nice shots.

I just met a terrorist yesterday o.0

After a hard day of Urban Exploring I stopped to empty my wallet to refill my car
I saw the suspect attending the counter of my local convenience store
he said to me, "welcome to the 7/11 how may I be of service to you today?"
I threw my 20 down on the counter and ran like a mother and never looked back,
He screamed many curses about "not being able to break a 20" and Allah and such but I hopped a razor wire fence went down a drain and out a waterfall outlet before I made it the entire 8 feet back to my truck, phew that was a close one.

The Government is so screwed up...They need to cut the shit. I wonder if walking around the park on a rainy day in a trench coat would make me a terrorist.

Late one night when I was about 15-16 years old, I decided to take a walk around part of my paper route in the rain, just for the heck of it. I was stopped by a cop who wanted to know why I was out there. He basically told me to go home, which I did. He followed me with the patrol car's spotlight until I was in the house. I thought that was lame. That's not even a high crime area.

Edit: Oh, and I wasn't wearing a trenchcoat.

Maybe there was a pervert on the loose that night and the cop wanted to make sure you got home okay.

Gather round, young'uns. It's time for another Mandias story!

Years ago, as a young lad, I used to spend some time in Florida over the summer at my dad's. I would often take advantage of the comfortable night temperatures to sneak out and wander around and explore whatever I could. One summer, I guess someone new had moved into the neighborhood or something, or maybe there had been some robberies which put people on guard, but things went down a little differently from my usual, uneventful, late night excursion.

There was an empty lot next door, so I would usually go out the back door, then cut through the empty lot to the street, giving me maximum distance from any house. I got to the street and walked about a mile to a church parking lot and just kind of hung out there for a while, realizing that I was actually pretty tired. After lying in the grass and watching the stars for about 10 minutes, I got up to walk back down the street to the house. Little did I know that, at about this time, 4 or 5 cops were taking up positions around me.

I walked down the street, literally down the center of the street, which was an odd little side road with only about 20 houses on it and never had any traffic. So, it was very well lit with street lights, me walking right down the center of the road in the bright lights, and unbeknownst to me, cops following along, scampering from bush to bush, because the whole damned road was so well lit that you couldn't effectively sneak down it, even if you wanted to.

When I got to the empty lot, I crossed up through the center of it and then to our back yard. The second I stepped on our property I heard someone behind me say, "Put your hands above your head and turn around." So, I did.

The cop had his gun drawn, but thankfully pointed slightly away from me, which I really appreciate. Apparently, I was not too intimidating as a 16 year old strolling down the center of a well lit street.

So, he had me walk to the front of the house, where 2 police cars were pulling up with their lights on, and a couple of other cops were already standing with their hands on their holsters. After they woke up my dad, and he looked out into the driveway and confirmed that I was his son (Thanks, pops!), he shut the door and went back to sleep, leaving me to hang out with the cops while they ran my ID. We actually had a good time chatting and joking about how they were following me the whole way, ducking for cover behind bushes and mailboxes.

But that was over 20 years ago. Today I would be in Guantanamo.
