There's another unfinished nuclear plant just outside of a small town between Rogersville and Kingsport. There is a park/ walking trail right next to the property but a fence around the skeletal base of the cooling tower and buildings keeps unadventurous people out. I've been there quite a few times, it's pretty cool and only a few miles from my Grandparents house. I'll try to get some pics of it next time I'm in the area. The pic I uploaded is not my work and the only one I could find on the internet.

if i'm correct, hartsville is where pook and some other explorers were arrested back in '05. it is not one to mess around with.
even though it was never finished, there is still activity. anyway you look at it, the government still owns the property and they can do whatever they like.

Are you now, or have you ever been?

Let's just say the government does use the property, but it's not for power generation. Getting caught there is a good way to get fucked over

York Academy, a high-school. We played them in the playoffs last year.

Agreed.
Word: DOE. Federal property.

This isn't an abandoned bunker. Go here and you will likely be very sorry, and at the least, quit a bit poorer!

Oak Ridge and Hanford have a lot of abandoned buildings too... some places they are authorized to use deadly force, submachine guns and all...
strange as it sounds, you can get permission to tour some of these places.

TVA?

Tennessee Valley Authority...

..On a different note, I was tubing on a lake near Knoxville, I have no idea what it's called, but I'm trying to find out. There was something that looked like a an Epcot ball thingy, and from what I heard it used to be an experimental place for a sodium reactor, anyone know what I'm talking about? I had an urge to the place right then, but then someone broke their ankle, talk about inconvenient.

Nah, it was about forty minutes out of k-town, and it was in wooded mountain-like things around a lake

They use sodium as a coolant in breeder/military reactors. Any site in the US that has one of these you don't want to go near!
