Legend-tripping sounds very similar to urban exploring. Basically, you visit the site of some kind of local legend, like the scene of a murder, a haunted house, or a graveyard, and you attempt to invoke the legend.

| | | | Yeah, it mainly pertains to kids daring each other to go into a forbidden place. It covers everything from the Boo Radley house in "To Kill a Mockingbird" to the cheesy animated flick "Monster House."
Speaking form experience, kids that did a lot of Legend Tripping tend to become Urban Explorers.
