it was a photo of tunnel to the exit from station (escalator pit-shaft) as i can remember - they seldom use TBM to run such a tunnel.
and actually not all of photos are from Moscow subway, there also a Saint-Petersburg subway (http://englishruss...cow_dungeons/5.jpg - cause of not only the contact rail but the 4th "information rail" also presents) and the cave (http://englishruss...ow_dungeons/18.jpg) from Crimean Peninsula as i remember, and there are several drains (f.example http://englishruss...cow_dungeons/7.jpg), and nowadays the most of transit and utility tunnels are ran with TBMs, and most of utility tunnels (like http://englishruss...ow_dungeons/20.jpg) also ran with small tbms. but tunnels leading to the exit from the station (and entrance) are often "handmade" usually.
