I've never had trouble keeping up with your identities, and I don't think you've ever broken any board rules. My only criticism is that you're a little hard on Av sometimes.
That said, I don't think it's fair to saddle Max with a name he doesn't want as an arbitrary punishment. If there is going to be some sort of new rule against frequent name changes, it should go in the written rules of the board and not be enforced retroactively.

So here is the issue: Av and Max hate each other. Well known and not up for debate. When this all got started I don't know, but it definateley got heated between the great Private-message-reading-Asher-leaving situation ad now. Inevitable conflict should have been expected between the two. I mean, why would anyone expect anything less than animosity?
There is one camp of Av and his close supporters, and the Max Action camp, and those who could care less. You know where I stand already.
It seems that there is plenty of pro-MA support here, even from Ninj and a lot of others. This isn't a case where there is a clear agreement on the issue. This isn't Intalexbokote here.
But if Max goes, I'd guess many others would leave as well, or at least be vocal in their opposition. Or that there would be a big sloppy mess of a debate and argument between different factions.
But things, as usual, are out of my hands.

Dammit, things were done wrong by both parties. Max can't keep his fucking mouth shut for 5 minutes (you know I love ya guy), because that's the way that he is. This does happen to be Av's board, but no matter how you look at it, he didn't exactly go about handling this the greatest way either.
Max: Shut the fuck up for 5 minutes, give Av a name that you want to have for a while, and then step back for a bit. Bash him to all hell in private forums if you want. I don't care really. I personally don't want to see you gone from these forums, because you're one of the reasons that I came here in the first place.
Av: I've got respect for you for coding this forum, and what you've done with the LDB and all of that is great. But, y'know... even though you made this place... -everyone- helped build it. If there was no one else here, there would -be- no forum. I haven't been around for all that much time, but I've seen the forum change in little bits and pieces. As soon as you let someone other than yourself into the site, things have the potential for going chaotic. In this case, Max is the form of chaos. This doesn't mean that you cut it out totally, and try to have a totally stagnant board, because chaos is a part of what we do. If you want to let the punishment stand, then that's your choice. But a lot of people will probably give you a shitload of grief about it - you may even lose some members because of it. Now, I hope that things don't go to this extreme, but... people are fickle.

I've spoken to some other people, and I think this whole situation has gone too far. Max: You've broken rules, so you're on your second warning now. I won't take any more bullshit from you. Call me a nazi or a dictator or whatever if you like, but the rules need to be enforced and nobody is exempt.

Max has certainly fucked up, and maybe he does deserve some punishment, but prettty much what everyone agreed on was to let him pick something for his profile and make him keep it permanently. I understand that you're angry with him, but you're being really petty with all this stuff, don't stoop down to that level. Be the bigger man and put an end to this whole mess. Let Max have his sig/avatar pic (as long as it's not offensive). I'm sure he understands fully that he's on thin ice and I think he will be better behaved from now on.
Max actually has been *pretty* mature about this in the past day or two, requesting that he be allowed to have the profile of his choosing. Sure, he has worked in a few jabs at you Av, but what do you expect from him? He's not going to turn into Ninj overnight. Max seems to go right along with the whole anti-authority thing, the more strict and rigid you are with him, the more he will poke fun at and try to upset you.
I personally don't understand why you seem to dislike Max so much, there are people who are far more annoying on this board who you have tolerated. Chikote for example, pretty much all the mods expressed how much he annoyed them, and how we thought it was TT/Intalex, but your response was to just leave him be and "warn" him, even though he had already been banned from the forum TWICE. I don't think any of the other mods have made any serious complaints about Max (at least none that I've seen).
Give Max a little breathing room, and I think things will change for the better.
