The building in Northside (the old American Can building) is currently being renovated into a mixed use commercial/condo facility with two level parking garage beneath. It's really a huge project, so I'd expect it to be locked up and probably alarmed.

Yeah we looked at it today after exploring the brewery. The can place is most likely too stripped down to be interesting. the brewery on the other hand is amazing.

What's the latest anyone has heard on the subway? I had two friends get in there some time ago but they were skinny little bastards. The city stopped allowing tours in there due to the "Homeland Security Laws".

rj17, how hard was it to do the brewery?

The subway is pretty sealed up and seeing as how the water main goes through there security could be a big issue. We moved the subway down of a few notches on our list.

The brewery is very easy to get into.

The subways are frankly quite boring. They were open for the Saints and Sinners Tour, but it's basically a hallway with communication cables and pipes. That's basically it.

There are... much better places in the area

Man, think how big somebody's UER-penis would be if they infiltrated the subway though

There is a brewery that is in good shape that I know of.

Good luck getting into it, though.

Its a watertower. Factories often have water towers because they may use much more water then what the city's system can deliver.

In the case of the Crosley building, the water tower is simply just encased in the building (I assume) to be more visually appealing.

Another theory is that since the Crosley building is located further away from the Ohio river, and much higher physically than buildings in downtown, it may have been necessary for the building to be designed with its own water tower because the city simply could not supply enough pressure over such a distance to make the water travel to the top floors of the building.

It could also be there for better insurance rates. Having a water tower on your building guarantees that there will be adequate water pressure for fire hydrants.

These are all just theories, though. Make your own judgment, but I can assure you, this building was not a brewery.

Back in 85, there was a freighter grounded off the Eastern tip of Grand Cayman. Was kind of cool. No idea if it is still there.

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

yeah pretty sure thats gone. Thanks though. Did anyone ever get out to the coal loader thingy on the licking river? It was across from marathon oil. I'm trying to find some pictures and was wondering if anyone else knew of it. All thats left now are the dolphins and a platform.
