Has anyone been out here recently to see if it is totally destroyed? is it worth even seeing anymore? I've been wanting to go to this place for years, but Florida is just too far away.

Henry wasn't worth a drive from florida even before the fire.

It is not worth it at all anymore. It hasn't been demo'd yet, but they finally may have to because of all the vandals that have taken over the place. King Henry's reign is coming to an end soon, his throne is heavily damaged. THe auditorium projector room was about the only thing left untouched before these more recent flames, and the RCA projectors I posted pics of in the MDUE forum are most likely destroyed. It sucks that the bad guys (The State and the Vandals) had to ruin it for us. It is a complete waste of time, don't bother. I'm pissed, because before the first fires it was a true gem.

If this place wasn't in bad shape before, now it really is.

Thanks for the pictures and info man. Yeah, that really, really does suck. Years ago before I was into exploring my roommate told me about it and I was really intrigued by the place. Too bad I will never see it.

Henryton is one of those places where a fire would actually make it cooler.

Exploring is like tattoos... They stopped being cool in 2005

It's true, Henryton was nuked by Kim Jong-Il. Find some other asylums in Maryland that aren't radioactive yet.

yeah the place was really cool...I really wished I had seen the projector room, but they tore it down apparently...I went a couple of months ago and it is really fun to explore, but also pretty risky...
