The building by Ketch harbour was a Canadian Coast Guard station. It has been shut down for at least 8 years.

Very interesting, thanks scarp. Although, I would advise staying away from there, as there is still power to the place, which also means the security system would still be intact.

Ugh, that's a blow!

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

Hey all,

Here are my TG shots from yesterday. Protios played the role of "Artsey Fartsey", I was point and shoot em for a change.

http://www.flickr....72157622489470639/

They are in the process of uploading now, so the set is still growing.

Wonder if the 2 guys who were walking out of there with the motors ever came out from hiding. LOL

@Alex & Protios: if you guys want to check out the rest of YR any time, I'm good to go out this Friday, show you guys the rest of the fort, whether it be the shore battery, the cave or the old command post.

@Alex: too bad you haven't posted the pic of me peeking through the hole yet, would have liked to see how creepy that is.

I held off on posting that one, your face is plain as day and I don't like posting that stuff. But if you are cool with it, I will throw it up there.

I've never been inside but I assume there are probably some steam tunnels beneath the high school and hospital.
