I decided to go back to one of the buildings I referred to in my post last week where I didn’t get any usable shots because I didn't have the tripod.

We hop in the car and out of the blue a possible location hits me. Years ago I went to a rave in an abandoned building. At that time in my life I was not exploring so I never committed the place to memory, but all of a sudden BAM there it was in my head. So we take a stop over there and the building was much bigger than I remembered.

1.

2.

While we’re walking around the perimeter we happen upon a demolished building.

3.

4. This tire was holding the wrecking “ball” to the crane. I’m seeing a possible Goodyear commercial.

5.

When we’re walking around this site we notice a huge complex and decide to walk around it. Some of the buildings look abandoned and others look like they could be in use. I wish I would have taken more pictures but I was more awestruck at the possibility due to the vastness of it all.

6. These signs are all around the perimeter, so who knows if it will ever happen.

7. These signs are also around the perimeter as are some that offer a $100 reward for any evidence leading to catching someone breaking windows. On the one hand I think, "They must not have very good security since they evidently have a problem with copper thieves and broken windows," on the other I think, "Maybe it's not worth it."

After we walk around that complex we decide to go to our original destination when we happen upon this building. There is a 3X3 foot hole in the side but we decide to just check it out some other day since I wanted to get some shots from the building last week.

8.

We drive to the other building and we see people at the dock doors loading stuff. All right, guess we’re going to take a peek around #8 after all. As soon as we take a look in the hole the alarm goes off. So we just decide to walk back around one of the buildings above and enjoy the weather. 5 minutes goes by and there are 3 cop cars at the building. Nice Response. While we’re walking, we notice yet another abandoned building but nothing looks too special about it.

Enough time has passed that we decide to see if people are still at those dock doors. We get there and they are gone. Access last week was pretty easy. A giant piece of wood was held in place by a piece of wire. That board is still there, but behind it are more. Fuck!

We spend an hour looking around and find another access point. And we’re in a courtyard area that we couldn’t get to last week. The place is full of old vehicles and forklifts and…junk.

9.

10.

We go in to one of the buildings we couldn’t get to last week and its full of wood.

11.

12. Then we get here and I’m a little nervous about passing under the floor above.

13.

I’m glad that we’re getting to portions that we didn’t see last week, but they sealed up access to the parts we could get to before. Finally we find our way in, but so much time has passed I don’t really get to spend as much time as I would have liked.

14.

15. Don’t burn yourself fella

16.

17.

18.

19.

Then we try getting to the part of the building that had a bunch of demolition derby cars and an interesting garage. But it is sealed up much tighter. We couldn’t find a way in and it was getting late. Hopefully it won’t be sealed up any tighter on my next visit, because there’s still a lot more I have yet to see.

awesome stuff! is the second to last pic, a pinball machine? It's so nice to see people from our part of the country posting shots. when ever I see stuff from Mid Atlantic, It makes me smile!

40+ year olds with Myspace pages are not cool, they are pediphiles on the prowl. Buyer beware.

Great shots and awesome location. In a way I'd like to check that place out myself, but I'm a bit afraid to with all those warning signs...

You definitely need to hit up that first big building. Just take down the signs, and then since you can't see the signs anymore, they won't be able to see you. Problem solved!

Yeah, its a pinball machine. I got a picture of it the day I didn't have a tripod so it's a bit off but here's the top of it.

Alien Poker is WAY cooler than Earth Poker.

I'll have to remember that security trick muskrat. Luckily, the first building doesn't have any signs, nor does it appear to have any form of security. The building with the smokestacks is a different complex a couple of blocks away. I'm hoping to go back within the next couple of weeks so we'll see what happens.

Also, Thanks for the kind comments everyone.
