i do remember seeing the "dead bodies" with an arrow pointing down to the flooded area at the dog food factory. that could be where the rumor started. and, considering that the parkway killings was the only "killings" that i can think of around here, it kinda makes since where the rumor got started.

btw, did anyone hear about the person shot on crawford rd.?

creepy.

One of the first times I went to the factory, someone had hung a dog (most likely roadkill) by its neck in the first room. It scared the piss out of me and my friends when we lit it up with our flashlights.

Wow it's been so long since I posted here. Hey wyzj...how did that little get-together go near the end of the summer? I remember you were having a house party with a few local bands playing, sounded like it would be a lot of fun but I couldn't make it. How's the factory looking these days? Last time I saw it was before it was sold to the "new owner" you speak of. Anyways, if there is any more info on the stuff near yorktown, I'd really appreciate it as I'm looking to get back into exploring. PM me if it's too revealing for the public haha. Thanks.

i tried to invite everyone, but bigpoppag just got busted and everyone went schitzo.............................

I used to live in Yorktown from 1996-2000 when my dad was still in the Air Force and I remember there was an abandoned drive-in theater somewhere near Tabb High School. I never got a chance to explore it, but would pass it while driving. Now I've forgotten where it was, and Google Earth isn't helping much. Anyone with info?

Yeah that place got torn down for the new wal-mart. I remember going past it years ago always wanting to see what it was all about, but never got the chance. BPG: The williamsburg house is worth the trip if you're up to it. I don't really frequent the forum that often, but if you want directions PM me and I'll get back to you at some point haha. Also, the hunting/fishing lodge is next on my list once I get ahold of a boat and someone who will let me tow their boat to a launch near the place. Pics will definitely go up if we actually visit it. Peace.

Chris, kayaks can go on top of the car, and you don't need to recruit anyone else's help. I'd love to go on my own, (lodge), not taking a chance (like bigpoppag), of going with anyone but my self and wife for awhile. if you don't mind emailing some kind of clue to the location? i'm not on here enough for you to pm to me. i have two kayaks, i'm sure you can rent some for a day. i haven't checked out 'peace frogs' to see if they rent or sell kayaks. rental might work better for ya. thanks.

FYI...group or with just your wife....your still taking a chance. No one is immune from getting caught.

Went 'mapquesting' across the area and found a whole bunch of similar sites to explore by water! Thanks for the idea! Avoid property posted with 'no trespassing' at all costs! There are fewer conflicts on 'islands'.
