I grew up in the Peterborough area and the Marmora mine was and is quite well known. I respect that some sites are of a delicate nature and people feel the need to protect thier exact location but i dont feel the mine falls under that category. If you visit the municipalities website they provide pics of the mine, check youtube out and watch insane kids dive into it for a swim and as i mentioned earlier there is an observation area for tourists

man i went on youtube and watched the video you speak of... i would not jump off those cliffs man... too dangerous... jump to close to the edge and your knees will meet your chin in a glorious union as you hit one of the ledges below the water. ugh.

*shudders* those cliffs are a little tooooo high for my liking.

the highest i have jumped from is the middle span of the black train bridge behind the holiday inn. All my friends would climb to the top of the higher girder section but they were all insane

I've jumped from the highest section of the dolly bridge (train bridge of Lansdowne), but that took alot of courage on my part, and a few drinks at that.

Not much of a heights person.
