So me and my girlfriend decided to get into this exploration thing. I have been reading about this for a while and always found it interesting so I decided to start exploring buildings myself. I searched around on the internet for places to explore and I found a school that goes by the name of Mingo. On the way there I found other buildings that I might want to explore but that will be another post.
This is my first time exploring a building but I have another trip planned because the camera that me and my girlfriend use only had a 16 megabyte card, but we got a 2 gig card after we went here for the first time so expect more pictures next time. Keep in mind we use a cheap camera and the pictures wont be really nice.
Also we didnt bring a flash light so there are many places we couldnt go, but we will be sure to bring one next time.

This picture is the old wheel chair ramp into the school.

We couldnt go into the auditorium because it was too dark but next time we will be sure to check out the place in depth.

And finally you can see some of the hanging wires and crap. Copper thieves have destroyed the ceiling throughout the entire building.

We will be revisiting this place in a few days. The upcomming visits will include but are not limited to, another school, a mentally disabled home, and maybe some other places.

Since about 1980, I found a bunch of old papers that were dated from 1970-1982 so I'm not 100% sure. I found some kind of brochure about the schools spending or something like that, I'll run it through the scanner sometime in the future..maybe.
-edit-
Ok I dont think I will scan the paper, it has the address of the school and posting that is against the rules I think.

Yeah,it is quite frowned upon to post info that specific. Cool looking place though,it doesn't even look that bad for being empty for so long!

No, not really. I dont travel a lot because I go to college and I have a job and with all the homework I get I only have a day or two on the weekend to myself. All the places I explore are only a 30 minute drive or less away.
