| | | Small Pump Station in Western MA < on 9/5/2007 3:28 PM >
| | | Hey guys, I new to these forums and my 7 days just ran up so I figured I would introduce myself with some pictures of a small run I did a few days ago. This is an abandoned pump station in Easthampton MA, it's very small and full of trash, its not the best but its pretty secluded and probably not that well known any longer. If anyone wants to do some Exploring around Easthampton let me know I'm down for it 90% of the time.
Heres a picture of the outside, as you can see its pretty worn and has had some tagging activity
Thought these Telephone poles looked pretty cool (the picture could be better tho)
Huge Red tanks, my brother didn't realize it was a 5 sec exposure and walked across the shot with his flashlight but I think the shot still works, for me the big valve on the center tank demands attention even with all the trash on the floor and tagging (and even the light trail).
This is a closer shot of the valve itself.
This big drum was full of wood pieces and at the very bottom I could just barely make out the glimmer of a silver fire extinguisher.
Some electrical boxes, all the stuff has long since been ripped out. It does surprise me that the boxes are still on the wall however.
a slightly modified version of this is what I'm using as my current wallpaper, in the full 1600*1200 image there are some cool weather patterns on the wall, one looks like a person shackled to the wall. This is another 5 second exposure, I really liked the way the sun shined in from that small space in the roof. It was the only light visible in that room and honestly it was the only interesting thing in that room (of course last time I was in there I saw thousands of freshly hatched spiders and still can't get comfortable in that room).
Yummy stalactites forming!
This is the same room, there are two long vines or roots growing down from the roof to the floor.
This place has served as a party spot in the past and it shows there is a lot of broken glass and beer cans. As you can see they drink the high quality stuff Pabst! It must have been kids or homeless people nobody chooses to buy PBR unless they are broke :P
Now I will end with some pics of a really messed up car outside the place, it was owned by my friends dad my friend was telling me the story behind this car alas I don't remember the details but I know it involved booze, guns and reckless driving on the trails behind the factories.
