Central Louisiana Anyone?

Hey all, I was just wondering if there was anyone else (aside from me) living in the Central Louisiana area. Haven't been on these boards in a while, and well, I would like to get re-acquianted here. So yeah, hi, name's Efrain lol.

Has anyone ever seen the inside of an abandoned asylum barn/school type thing? If not, that's where I'm going this weekend. I'll be sure to post the pics here. Haven't ben to one myself, never heard of it before. So should prove to be interesting.

Yup, its in Central Louisiana. Pineville, LA, next to Alexandria. lol, actually that is correct, mental handicaps for animals is a growing condition in America, and more mental asylum school/barns should be around to treat these poor poor farm animals...before they get processed into glue, chicken nuggets, and double whoppers...with cheese of course ;) Nah, but from what I understand from the locals is that this building resides on the asylum land, as to what its purpose is, only guesses such as: the land was originally a farm and the state bought it and built the asylum on the land, but never tore it down; they had use for it and just stopped. Not exactly sure. It looks interesting though.

I don't know about cows and horses, but there is such a thing. This is a picture of our little down syndrome kitty. It was born about 8 weeks ago. Unfortunately, it died this morning about 10.

Oh yeah, I stopped by that place today to check it out, got some good pictures, but can't find my blasted cord to upload them to my computer. As soon as I find that, I'll show you what I'm talking about. Also, it's not a barn, just the outside has some similarities upon closer observation.

Sorry about your cat, Raticus.

Thanks, to everyone. We hadn't had it long like some of our pets, but those goofy & helpless little eyes were what made us decide we were going to keep it.

I meant that I felt bad for making fun. I had no idea animals could actually get a mental handicap. This is honestly the first I've ever heard of it.

On another note, I still can't find my damned cord, and I have some pretty cool pics that I took today when I UE'd two half sunken boats on the Red River. There were a few more, but my camera ran out of space, too many pics, and it started to rain. It was fun and different though. Never UE'd a boat before.

I'd never heard of it either and apparently it's rare, according to the internet stuff I looked at.

I've never UE'd a boat before either, but it's always been something I'd like to do. A big boat. I think a cruise ship would be interesting to UE, or a tanker.

Pineville Manor is a FUN one to explore fyi.

Should definately consider finding that one. It's right off of Highway 107 before you get on the Pineville Expressway.

And if you don't know where 107 is, it's parallel from Highway 28. :p

Hmm, I went there last night, but couldn't find it. Is it by the LA College?

The boats I checked out weren't very large. The ferry was a good size, but everything below the top was submerged, and that was where most of the 'boat' is located. So yeah, couldn't do much there.

Question, how 'unethical' is it to UE an abandoned church? Personally I don't believe it is, any other views? I found one yesterday in a cemetary. It doesn't look very old, just ALL windows and doors are boarded up, so I would have to bring a pry bar to get at it one day, then come back and explore.
