You could get lost in here.

Flanders Industries Inc. is a factory that made outdoor furniture. I'm not exactly certain when they shut down, but it's up for sale right now. Still has running water and electricity. Getting in wasn't too tough, had to come in from the back since the front is right next to a busy street. There's a tiny creek I had to cross and minimal climbing to get into the facility, but it's definitely worthwhile.

Here are some photos of my first and second visit. I plan on coming back at different times of day to work with the lighting.

35°21'57.77"N, 94°25'33.76"W

If you're in the area, check it out... and I left the light on for you!

The creek on the backside of the location.

I tried the door with a wire for a handle with little success and haven't found a way down there from the inside yet.

This isn't too bad of a climb at all, just make sure to have your footing as these rocks aren't too stable.

Below are some buttons, a fusebox and machine in the shipping/receiving area that's separated from the actual building.

Once inside...

The first visit.

The second, at sunset.

I was shocked to find the water still worked.

Taken from the second story of the main office.

I get excited about abandoned places.

I love those old abandoned factories and commercial locations. Good stuff.

Thanks guys. I still haven't explored the whole thing. TheMighyThor and I went to check it out at night, which was tons of fun. I love sneaking around in the dark.

Can and did get lost and I would probably rephrase tiny creek - medium irrigation ditch. Can not wait to go back. We need night photos.

you know if ou really want to get in there you could always just pop the hinges with a flat head screwdriver.. just remember you are going to have to put it back up when you are done or else everyone else will be in your secret play room.. you might want a ladder and a buddy to help you out if you can.

post pics if you do.. !!!

nice site!!

We'll have to break out the lanterns and spotlights next time we go.

Haven't explored the entire place yet so I'm going to try and look for the room a little harder... I love a challenge. But, thanks for the idea!

You may have a point there! This crap with outsourcing everything is getting beyond out of hand. Even the company I work for is doing it a little now, and we're one of those American companies that have been around for well over a hundred years. Only way to stop it? Don't buy the shit.

This place is totally fun. The factory is about 10 ft. from the road, there's these double doors that aren't closed all the way. The doors bang together from the cars going by. First time I explored it... they freaked me out until I found out what it was. Took a trip there at night and it's funny because I found more stuff in the dark than I did during the day.

If you're ever up this way, I'd be more than happy to give you a tour.

I saw a Wheelabrator on Dirty Jobs today on the Discovery Channel. They're a type of shot blasting machine for polishing cast metal parts.

Thanks, man. It really is a great place. When I have the time, I go back there and just hang out. Hopefully no one buys it for a long time.
