| | Abandoned Stores on Victoria Park, TO < on 8/11/2007 8:36 PM >
| | | While working, we were driving on Victoria Park Avenue, going south from lawrence, and in between lawrence and eglinton i saw 2 strip mall type of stores that had graffiti all over them and had fences built all around them too. One was right before Rowena drive on vic park, the other was right after that rowena drive. If you drive you will be able to see them both, as they are located on the west side and are open for the whole street to see. Since i am not from that area, and barely have time to do much else, i thought someone else can go check them out if they are interested. Here is the pic of the map where the locations are (from my memory)
If they are already listed then i am quite sorry.. but i looked through the database and didn't find it Enjoy

| | | You are a basic member, there are most likely far more DB entries visible to a full member, but I wouldn't know where to look because I am not from that area.

| | | I just did a cursory look at Toronto LDB and these buildings are not yet documented. Next time you're in the area, Arnwelt, you should explore, take photos and post them here (or if someone lives near the area)...

| | | There are actually 3 strip-mall things like that, on the west side of the road, ALL abandoned and within a 10 minute walk from one another. Nothing very interesting, though- j.

| | | Does anyone know why these strips malls are being demolished? More condos? I went by them the other day and was considering exploring but the area was really busy. Here are a few photos for those who are interested:

| | | I went past them on my bike not really thinking about it until I saw them and realized that these were the buildings and that I had read about them here.. The northen set is still standing but the Southern ones are being DEMO'D RIGHT NOW! I didn't have my camera so no pics..
I will defeat that which was once untouchable only so that I may now move on |
