Its a welcome change from all the wide angle stuff.

1) Is nice photo the DOF works well here.

2) Its an Ok photo but it is a little boring.

3) The focus looks a little soft.

4 & 5) Dont really do anything for me.

6 & 7) are interesting enough though I dont think there as good as 1)

My personal favourite is number 1 but they are as a group one of the strongest sets of photos you've posted to critiques.

Everything looks great, ESPECIALLY 3 and 4.

5 is a bit boring. I like the color palette of it, but overall it's dull to me.

Nice photos Turkey. Three is my favourite by far, except it seems a little soft. Is this with the 50mm f1.8?

I love mine, but rarely use it for general photography. I LOVE using it for closeup and detail shots (like shot three in your set), especially shots which require no lens/barrel distortion. I rarely use the 50mm with an aperture larger than f8, but it does produce lovely bokeh.

I have some friends (non-explorers) who use their 50mm's for low light hand held photos because of its speed, but IMHO, speed is no substitute for a tripod.
