i've heard quite a bit on this forum about people not being interested in abandoned houses. maybe its the lack of options in my area or just my interest in homes. the only non-residental places i've been in this area is the purina factory and the army base near patrick henry (that i can remember right now). i have been in many houses around my area. i like the one on the road to beaver dam park in gloucester, where i live. a lot of times its like the people just leave all there stuff and bolt. in this particular house there were records and checks (written out!) all over the floor. one thing that was neat is that the fireplace had fallen off the house leaving a giant hole in both the upstairs and down. let me know what ya think.

sorry, no pics, re-did hard drive with out thinking of all my pics.

abandoned houses are the best! Me and the Mrs. was down in your area and explored/ shot two of them on sunday.

here are the pics.

40+ year olds with Myspace pages are not cool, they are pediphiles on the prowl. Buyer beware.

I see houses constantly on my travels, but hardly ever stop. I think the biggest challenge for me is finding a house that leaves me with a good place to leave the car. I'm actually checking out one tomorrow if all goes according to plan, and maybe it will spark me to try more in the future. I guess I'm still hung up on textile mills, I found another one today..

I become capability. I become the horror. What we know we can become only in our heart of darkness. It's my gift. It's my curse.

I love houses if they actually have stuff inside them. Even those without can be neat, but I like to see the old decaying furniture and such.

There's actually this old house just up the street from me that I beleive is in the process of being cleaned out to be torn down. For the longest time it's been used simply for storage, but anymore the front door's left open and all grades of junk's laying in the front yard. I'm thinking about trying to head inside one day, even for a brief run around to see what's left...

Made it out to mine and something told me not to go in right away. I hung around the back and took a few pictures, and sure enough someone came by soon and asked me to leave. Oh well..

I think I'm going to try and visit this house in Welcome tomorrow. If someone wants to tag along, I wouldn't mind having someone there to back me up just in case the floor's unsafe
