| | | 1. i like this shot. i it would be better if the top piece to of the lever(i think thats what it is) was in the frame. 2. like this shot well composed and good exposure 3. meh snap shotty kinda dull, not much to say 4. would be better without the blown out window 5. good but kinda the same concept with the window. try taking a darker picture and then blending then together it will take away the blown out window effect 6. well composed i like it 7. i love places that have parts that look new, it looks like a picture in like a waiting room at the dentist 8. kinda dull. meh

| | | This forum is a test of willpower to post work in. Congrats on making the step. 1- my favorite composition-wise. I'd push your contrast a bit (no true darks) and pump your saturation the tiniest bit. The depth of field is the jam. 2- Eh. It has the potential to be interesting but at the vantage point you're at, I'm not feeling it. I would have tried either zooming in or (probably better) stepping back to get more in the shot. Right now it just feels a little too oddly cropped. 3- Nice composition and color retention in the sky, but I agree with Glass on this one- it's a bit overexposed. Did you shoot in RAW by chance? That could help you recover some lost info. 4- The most boring of the set, brings nothing to the table. Flare in the window is distracting, the brights are too bright and the darks are too muddled. 5- I feel like I know this place. I think the photo could have benefit from being shot from a lower vantage point- it feels too "eye level" right now. I also would have stepped a bit more to the left to make the composition a little less even, though the light quality is quite nice here. 6- Would be better without the second window and with that green tag moved out of the shot. One of the few times I would give in to shifting things around a little bit to compose a better shot- I love the amount of ceiling/height included in the photo. 7- Too snapshotty. Needs more peelz0rz paint. 8- Nice composition but like 5, suffers from being shot at eye level. I'd get lower, much lower for this one too. Also a wee bit overexposed. Kick up your darks and this could be quite nice. Thanks for the share, looking forward to more.

| | | Compositionally (and conceptually), I think 3 is the strongest. It definitely keeps your eye in the frame, and definitely holds my interest. The others have forms and lines that lead you out of the image, and therefore don't command my attention as well. I don't think 3 is over exposed, but it would be nicer if you had used a polarizer to give a little more pop to the sky. All around a pretty nice job though. Just be careful with images that have too many forms/lines that lead out of the image.
