Not worth putting in the DB but I found a quiet little place today off of Keist and Westmoreland. Just a few buildings on a quiet little street near Redbird Airport. The sign said "Danger Keep away instead of out so I couldn't resist taking a peek.

It looks to have started life as a small ranch house with a horse barn/ tack room that had more living quarters above. Other buildings were added through the years and the last tenant seemed to be some sort of ornamental concrete business. There's lots of scaffolding and Styrofoam molds and stuff.

Really cool place Barry. Although the picture of the scorpion is a good picture, I HATE those mf's, along with their wicked friends, spiders.

But yes, it is a good picture.

C'mon, Rat-man.
Scorpions eat spiders and vise versa. I used to catch tarantulas and put them under the house to keep the scorpions away. I'll take spiders over scorpions but they're both cool.

Scorpions used to come into the house and the cats would play with them...
Hold them in their mouths and run around the room...You had to chase the cat to take away the scorpion from them...It was luck that nobody got stung.

I freaking HATE spiders. And scorpions for that matter. When I worked at PetSmart back in the day, we'd receive those big dog pillow beds in huge boxes. We'd find those little buggers in there all the time. Like Allva said, its a wonder no one ever got stung.

I like the picture of the bridge with your bike in the foreground. Very nice.

I'm right there with ya, Happiedaze... I hate those creepy, prehistoric-shoulda-been-extinct-a-million-years-ago bastards. They're creepy, weird, venomous, constantly pissed off, and the only ones I like are the dead ones.

theyve only been around 425,000,000 years

the World will be global-warming burnt to a crisp by greenhouse gases from Americans driving SUVs and the scorpions will still be around

they survived all the previous ice ages (by the way who caused those I wonder)

As a species they may be around another 425,000,000. But when I see one, I take em out, one critter at a time. Give me a snake any day over those little shits.

I like almost all animals and end up getting stung and bit a lot. Last week something landed on the back of my neck and when I swatted at it, it bit me. I went to the bathroom and shook my shirt out and it was a little jumping spider. I got the new camera and took a mug shot. I love those brazen little guys. They have no fear.

Oh God...

This thread is making me itchy.

If you all show up at the meet N greet... no spider talk, ok? Not much scares me, but spiders do. I'm a wimp when it comes to spiders. Ick...

They eat things I DON'T like like flies, mosquitoes, etc. They're harmless. I caught this on the sidewalk out front last night. Legless lizards are making a comeback here.

I like snakes (except I don't like the poisonous ones that I walk up on and don't know they're there). I have a snake for a pet. And I like your little legless lizard friend there. But anything with 8 legs, and 8 eyes, just doesn't deserve to live.
