If this place is what I think it is, then I just became sad.

Nice pics btw.

You're probably thinking of the same place. I'm thousands of miles away, but friends tell me they're taking it down. Same story. Gentrification and development.

ESTL. . . . that's out there.

That's what I said. But after two years away from STL proper, then seeing it again and barely recognizing certain neighborhoods, I'm starting to think they'll even try revitalizing ESTL. Either that, or it's highly organized brick scrappers.

wow those are pretty pics of the place. I heard that it was getting demo'd so I ran over there last night, and there is no sign of recent activity there and it looks pretty much like it did when I went in the winter. (well except the plants were full)

Man... I should get better sources. The guy who told me this must be lying. It didn't make much sense in the first place. Last time time I trust HIM I guess...

There was just a topic about this on Underground Ozarks. It's not confirmed as being demolished, but it definitely looks like people are scrapping bits of it.

Speaking of said place, how do you get into the second floor of the first building? You're in the big room with the machinery and you can see a second floor, but we couldn't find a staircase up.

if you are entering from the big square hole, go all the way to your right, the strait back, then walk left past all the tanks and the stair case is in the opposite corner of where you entered that room.
