I hope it does happen in an element in which the subway, transit city LRT, and streetcars make one giant efficient world class system. TTC is looking at the Bombardier Flexity, similar to the trams they use in Minneapolis.

Not to be technical, but they won't be called T2. There is already a second generation "T" car out that's called the T2...they're currently in use in Toronto. They're virtually identical to the T1 cars.

I am a transit fan and I have never in my life heard anyone, even the officials say Toronto have these "T2s".
Because the H6 and the T1 are almost identical looking.

Now I don't want this post to sound like "I am attacking you" but I really hate people who don't know their facts and spread them around and that is what it is looking like right now.
I really have a hatrid for people who don't think articulated buses can be powered by their rear wheel when the GMC Artic(GMC TA60-102N), the New Flyer D60LF, the MCI TC60-102N and the New Flyer D60 have all been buses like that.

The TTC's original order of T1 trains from Bombardier in 1995 were "T1" cars. However, in the second order that came in 1998 there were a few significant design changes. The biggest being the propulsion computer was pretty much redesigned from the ground up.
While generally all of the 50xx-53xx are referred to as "T1" cars, there are in fact different. They look the same and are operated the same but are quite different in terms of inner workings.
All of this came from a maintenance engineer with the TTC, and he assures me that while not generally called "T2" trains, that's what they are.

As I said in a PM, there is no such thing.
The original build had "Model: T1" or something like that, however all subsequent orders don't have that, they just say "Bombardier Transportation" and "Made in Thunder Bay Ontario" on them.
