Abandoned Houses In Lemont

Well, it took me long enough to get the pics up due to my time at college, but im out now and ready to get back to exploring. A few of my friends came across these homes while doing a photography assignment for school, they told me about them and i went over there a few weeks later to check them out. There were workers around the area so I decided to go in another day. You see, this is a new housing development that is going up with lots in the $500,000, thats just for the lot by the way. The property owner is a real prick. Not about the houses but off roading! We are there to off road also and he came out, he was too pissed at us so I didn't ask any questions about the homes. But if you choose to go up the hill and visit the homes, the has a Black Cadillac Escalade on like 24's. Big fat white guy, cant miss him. So any hoo, I don't have any knowledge of why there are 2 random houses here, they were unoccupied somewhere between 2005-2006, lots of weird stuff in them . I did make one discovery, there were cell phones, 3 of them, a Motorola Star-tac which was found in the big barn house, and 2 of those huge phones which were in the small run down house. I hit the Star tac and got the last number dialed. I ran that through the system and It came back to a Mrs. X from Plainfield. Well heres the kicker, the same last name was discovered on the battery of one of the old phones i found all the way in the other house! So, if that means anything.... Here are the pics!

Hope you Enjoyed, any ?'s Ill be sure to answer them! Oh yeah If someone can help me with posting pics, I can repost them! They are small yes...

Wow, good point.

If it's "Mrs. Stebic" you may want to call the police.

Seriously!!

no, none of those, I dont know if it is ok to post the name but the last name is Eagan or something, I forgot how to spell it. And it is before the canal off Bluff road. There is a problem, night UEing is not a good idea, my friend thinks they are wolfs, they lok like Sibrian Huskies, there is at least 2 of them. They didnt look too happy when i pulled up there one night. Daytime, saturday or sunday is a good time to check the joints out. It dosent seem like the fat guy would give you any crap if you said it was for a photography class. Google Earth has a old image but if you are heading into Lemont from Lemont road, before the bridge, hang a right on to Bluff, 1st right when u are on Bluff, up a winding hill and thats it. If you are driving, when u hit the fork on top of the hill, right again and there is a turn-around (culda-sack or whatever). Neat place though, I would recommend it, everything is open and there is power.

That's good to hear. That would have been a crazy twist.

You didn't have to give me specific instructions!! Thanks though!!

Have you ever scouted out the areas along the canal(s) from their toward the city?

Seems like a lot of abandoned industry, small stuff though. I always get chased away by the MWRD police before I get out of my car. I think they own all the land along there.

The only reason I brought that up is I have lived in Plainfield for about the past 30 years. They got poster all over the place about her in town. They need to spread them out more than just a 4 mile radius of her house.

I know a person with that last name but that may be from someone who decided to join the masses of this town in the past few years. I would not really know who they were then.

I do know the area of Lemont you speak of. Seem like it would be pretty hidden or not easy to see from main roads.

dude - kick ass...and seriously, where the hell would they go in such a hurry. a ton of shit was left behind. i'm gonna have to go out there this weekend to check it out.

and based on the pics of the barn, i have this wierd inkling i've been there before...not a pleasant visit either.

THANK YOU! i saw ONE, only ONE flyer in New Lenox, where I live.

If they were smart, they'd drive west on 80 and south on 55 and put posters up at least 100 miles away at rest stops, etc. what a waste of effort putting them up around plainfield.

stupid alert!

I know more about blood than you
