UER Forum > Archived US: Great Lakes > KI Sawyer, MI (UP) (Viewed 268 times) Srobocop   |  KI Sawyer, MI (UP) < on 4/24/2007 1:59 AM >   anyone been out to KI sawyer around Marquette? the county airport is located out there, but before that it was a big airbase before being shut down in the late 90's. the area as a whole is going to shit, the houses are being bought up and rented for dirt cheap to lower income families and what not, the police force for patrolling the area has been cut down dramatically and its becoming somewhat of a rough neighborhood(for UP standards) from the rumors i hear. anyway, i was just wondering if anyone has explored the area for abandoned buildings(there are a lot, hangers, dormitory type buildings, etc.). last i heard some unlucky kids got caught exploring out there a couple weeks ago by a cop that just happened to see them enter a building. Anyway, anyone been out there?
