| | Nindawayma being towed deadship for scrap < on 4/19/2007 2:07 PM >
| | | Nindawayma is being prepped for tow. after playing an important role in the movie "bon cop bad cop" she is being sent to port colbourne to be broken. After being for sale for a good number of years with no buyer found the devaluation of the boat was probably just too great. She has leaks and when not maintained develops a noticeable list.

| | | For anyone interested, the shipbreaking yard at Port Colborne is completely quiet on Sunday afternoons. I think the workers leave around 1pm, making it relatively easy to board vessels as they're being dismantled. I'd love to be able to get back down there again and have a look around this one. Probably a bit less risky than trying to board it while its docked in the port of Montreal.

| | | I went there today, and spoke to the tugboat's crew. The tugboat is from Vancouver BC !! They told me the boat was leaving tonight for Port Colbourne. And guess what, they let me get on board the Nindawayma and I got a full guided tour of the boat. It is indeed in very bad shape. The machine room is stripped of everything valuable ( motors, coopper, etc) and the control room is pretty damaged. The crew mess and such are still in good shape tough, the beds are still there with the pillows and everything.!
