What is this building?

Does anyone know what a building like this is for? I've never seen anything like it. There's doors on the back just like the ones on the front in the picture. The columns sticking out the back portion of the building has ventilation fans on either side at the top. There's not much inside, no machinery, just the framework of a shop crane that could be moved in and out the front and rear doors.

Ive seen something similar (but not exact) built for housing big combines or harvesters. This one seems too narrow for that.

Whats the context? is it on a farm?

It appears home built and the ventilation/exhaust system seems a bit odd.

Im only guessing maybe a shop for working on large machinery.

It may be some type of tank shop. That would explain the overhead crane, and the ventilation system.

Been a while since I checked in here...

2Ex asked about the context... it is on a caliche road south of town. Businesses on the road include a metal scrap yard, a motor home park, a communications company, a big rig repair shop, a oil field drilling pipe yard and a machine shop. I started to think since it's across the street from the machine shop perhaps at one time the building was a paint booth...

No proof and no idea though...

it is hard to tell how big it is, but sand blasting and paint and body shops have these components some times

If it was in Ohio I would say it is a salt storage barn (It snows here) Looks to me to be a Zepplin Hanger?

Bingo! You found my secret zeppelin hangar.

Seriously though, it has a decently sized vent. I vote for paint booth. No evidence of over-spray though?

Were there any crop circles nearby?
Or maybe some mutilated cattle?

I'm a blatant waste of time and resources.

Could it have been used to store nitrate fertilizer? That might explain the vent?

Come on guys... you Texas boys know that this is an old style "Family Sized" outdoor shit house. Probably a 5 hole turd tunnel. For cryin' out loud.

It's not old enough to be made from wood, like grandpappy's. This dookey drop is likely mid 40's vintage when it was popular to make your family facilities of "modern" corrugated metal with topside ventilation. Also has the then popular "Wide Slide" front doors for those moonlit night visits. It's probably been modified in recent years into something less respectable.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
