You can do them hardcore or take them easy as they are pretty big places. May I rectify this and say that not only most abandonment in Montreal is obviously accessible by car by it's 99,99% of the time also easily accessible by subway and/or bus. Dow, Malt Plant, Wellington, Geo Reed... all accessible by transit. And really, Dow is pretty darn smack downtown. Metro bonaventure, look for direction for the Planetarium, you'll find the Dow Wellington is pretty close.
