Woohoo I can finally post. Hello St. Louis! I love exploring sites in this amazing city. I'm looking forward to the BBQ and hope to get invited.

Very soon here I will be entering the Lemp Brewery (by permission of the owner) anything I should know or look for while there?

Memory machine, i LOVE your blog. I've seen those buildings before but never knew if it was decent to enter, thanks for proving you can!

Hey, thanks! I haven't written anything in awhile because of work and school, but hopefully this fall I will have some more free time.

If you're anywhere near St. Louis right now, you know that the heat is just a little, shall I say, oppressive. I would prefer to not even step outside it's so damn hot. The BBQ will have to wait until early fall (which is kinda what I was planning anyway).

After being in there several times now they are pretty damn cool(no pun intended). Please let me know how you get in with the owners. I am sure our way and there ways are different and I would like to know how they enter.

When you are in the third basement I believe it is you will be able to see natural spring water flowing through the walls. Also watch this video before you go.

Once you get into the actual caves it can be pretty tough to breath in certain spots, so just be careful. Also wear water proof boots and gloves as the mud is strong enough to take you shoes off. lol

memory machine: I'm betting the bums think its too hot too and therefore I think it's a great time to explore, but that's just because I personally don't mind this weather (as long as I don't have to work outside in it). But ya it's too hot to BBQ though.

jamesw: great video, thanks for the tips, i'll let you know how we get in, i too live in Florissant, invite me along to your next adventure >

Also I'll share a recent adventure story. The Skatium, shut down a few years back but NOT abandoned (you might be able to rent the place, but they won't be renting skates or selling nacho's thats for sure). The owners visit this place daily. Looking around in this place was interesting but not exciting (whats exciting about a closed down roller rink?). Two pics pretty much sum it up.

My next mission is to find out how to get into the skate park at Mills Mall!

Really the Skatium is shut down? Is there more than one? When we ere trying to find the coke plant we drove past that place a good 5 times and every pass the bouncers would eye us more and more suspiciously.

Yeah you are talking about the one in South City. He is talking about the one in North County. The one you seen holds a lot of raves. This would be why the bouncers were staring at you so much.

Back off I'm from a colder climate, MN
Mainly is because I'm really really busy right now, if we could do this in Oct. that would be amazing! Bc right now my September schedule is really full.

Mine too. I just went back to college and I'm getting a promotion at work so... I'm a bit swamped right now.

I work in retail... so, ideally, I'll need 2 weeks notice before we decide to hold this thing.

we should do it sometime between October 13th and 20th, I have a nice sized hole in my schedule then. Would sometime in that range work for other people?

It's pretty nice now. Whatever we do let's decide a couple of weeks in advance so we can all make it.
