I saw the other day that there is going to be paintball at the cooper site/CNR Shops in Stratford.

It kinda makes me cry but if there's going to be paintball there. shouldn't we be the ones to do it? ;]

It's a tragedy.
It's exactly like a greek tragedy.
We should only be Greeks.

Where did you see that JL?

Otherwise Flag Raiders already has buildings and stuff to explore/paintball in

The real trouble with reality is that there’s no background music.

Ok everyone! WE are penciled in for June 2nd at 8:30 AM!!

Please note any updates/changes to the event site... as in the note about inviting friends/family/co-workers and bringing 2-way radios(optional).

Thanks again! More people need to sign up!! Please? 15 or more and we can stay as a group... otherwise we might get split with walk-ons or other groups!

The real trouble with reality is that there’s no background music.

Old school capture the flag, flashlight tag, paintball, etc. why hasnt this been happening on a regular basis!? Turning an entire building into an obstacle course... then again, paint doesnt sound like it would go over too well

The trouble with doing those sorts of activities inside an abandonedment or even doing it in active building (well not the paintballing) is that there are many more hazards to deal with (especially in the dark) than just the opposing force.

This actually allows a very similar situation (see the field map) to what we'd have for an abandoned building but without the additional hazards as I dunno, falling to one's death.

Although I have seen evidence of paintballs in some of the places I've visited, also law enforcement do use special paint makers with their actual firearms.

Just to clear some stuff up.

Yes - it will cost money
No - it's not inside an abandoned building
Date: Saturday June 2nd, all day. (Starting at 8:30am)

You should try and get in touch with the owners of some buildings to be demoed. For a few bucks I'm sure they wouldn't mind some paint stains.

Initially I was surprised that an explorer like axle would propose to do a paint ball game in an abandoned building. Then common sense kicked in.

If I'm not working, I'll be there. Flag Raiders is a pretty fun field. Not too woodsy, very open with long grass in spots.

Later............. : )

I visited the indoor field yesterday in Kitchener to talk to them about rules. They do not allow outside paint onto the outdoor field.

**UPDATE!*

Ok Kats and Kittens! Updates!

First off thanks to GreyDeath for asking what paint markers we will be using:

"The markers we rent are Tippmann Model 98 Customs with 48/3000 HPA tanks, so they are pretty great. We also have a limited number of Sniper Barrel upgrades available as well." - Flag Raiders

GreyDeath also asked about the amounts of paint we could get in bulk:

"We sell paint for $ 10.00 per 100, $45.00 for 500, one case of 2000 bulk 4x500 is $ 180.00 or 2 or more case of paint is $ 160.00 per case which is
the best deal." - Flag Raiders

GreyDeath and Axle both haggle fairly well so we might be able to get a better price on that.

As Axle said... bringing your own paint to Flag Raiders is a big No No.

Also there will be a $20 deposit that is needed from everyone that will be going.

"The deposit goes towards whatever package the players wishes.
The deposit is non refundable or transferable, if the person does not show
up or cancels the deposit is not returned." - Flag Raiders

The deposit won't be needed for a while.... just to let you all know.

*End of Update*

That is an insaine price for paint. But if we have to then....

Is the paint they use of a high quality?
