Something to think about before your next draining trip

Seems that they are having a bit of trouble keep the sanitary sewers separate from the storm sewers in Milwaukee, WI. Kinda makes you think 'how many others are messed up too?'

http://www.jsonlin...dex.aspx?id=577950

For those of you who don't know the background info, Milwaukee has one of the worst track records when it comes to dumping raw sewage into the river. Whenever it rains, the waste treatment plant can't handle it and overflows. So, it seems quite insignificant that this one sewer is causing such a stink (no pun intended).

Pretty much. CSO systems aren't that nice to deal with and the bad part is that many older cities and older parts of town will have them....

Thats not cool man, you should move to australia where all tunnels are rolling green meadows about 15 metres in, i swear.

But seriously, has anyone from melbourne been to "happyland" as Panic called it and im not sure whether its the left or right tunnel, but waaay up one of them is a pipe that juts out the side and just spews brown foul liquid into the drain, anyone know if thats sewerage or industrial waste or anything else?

p.s: Panic!'s website says one of these tunnels has an exit,in actual fact both have an exit, one is just an absolute bitch to find and use.
