| | | Theres a creek that after several km's above ground disappears below ground into a large rectangular drain which runs underneath a bike path for a few blocks near where i live in inner sth east melb and i was wondering whether its worth checking out? After i hate to say it......nearly 17 years since my last drain expo with my best mate in melbourne's eastern suburbs the bug has risen again to bite me hard so we are off to our first 'officail' expo next weekend with people in the know. Apart from that 'official' expo I'm thinking of checking this particular drain out to see what it might hold ;) We are going to check it out in the next week or two but i figured its worth asking if anyone has checked it out before and knows if it actually develops into anything interesting? The creek runs through a the middle of a couple of schools then a golf course then under a hwy before disappearing underground so i'm hoping thats enough info for someone who knows it to get back to me? cheers B

| | | If its possible to message me the details of where it is either in the melways or google earth, i can tell you what it is, sorry cant be bothered thinking through your clues... another south east suburbs dweller right here. there are A LOT of very promising looking things that end up shite around here i've found. didnt realise there were so many other explorers from melbourne either. | | | The whole system starts at the beach (Cobra's Tomb) runs under the Nepean Hwy and has a tributary (Blades Tomb) and eventually heads underground for good at Hawthorn Rd (Dungeon) Here's a tip - Take a bike When in Dungeon and you get to The Grille, take the less attractive RCP on the left and follow the direction of the white arrows (they will get more obvious as you go). Without giving too much away it's a very interesting drain. Cheers, Doug
