i just found out that my felony charge of possession of burglary tools "flashlight, gloves, and multitool" has been dropped. now i only face the charge of loitering. wish me luck.

You might be able to plea bargain it down to a municipal trespass and loitering charge, something along those lines. Expect a big fine if they offer you that kind of deal. I paid a $500 once to do just that. They don't want to put you in jail if your not a hard ass, or a harden criminal. Some money in the kitty is par for the coarse, not so bad.
You could never plea down a felony to a municipal offense though, hopefully you were polite with the cops, if so, they may have cooled off and will put in a good word to the prosecutor. Your lawyer should be able to do the rest. What you want to avoid is a misdemeanor conviction now if at all possible.

in my defense i have the following:
a code enforcement supervisor who has allowed me to explore codemned areas with him and has photographed with me
a calendar for the oviedeo preservation project featuring a photo i took of an abandoned house
a pbs dvd featuring me giving a tour of the abandoned xanadu attraction in kissimmee (rip xanadu)
tons of photos ive taken of abandonments
permission from the caretaker of the motel property we were arrested on who has power of attorney from the owner. he said i can come there any time i want to shoot anything i want.
i dont see a loitering charge sticking here but its not over yet

Even if you were right, that's not the issue here.
My main concern would be to avoid felony charge, and misdemeanor charges. You compromise as long as you achieve your objective.
A municipal fine rather than a misdemeanor. Remember even an innocent person can be found guilty, and lawyers will tell you that northing's for sure. If your not squeaky clean, owe up to your screw up, and get while the getting's good.
Keeping your record clean is more important than a "total" victory. If you can bargain down to a municipal fine, say Thank you, apologize for the trouble you stirred up, pay the fine(s), and be happy. You did what you set out to do.
