| | | This place is stunning, great photos! Is there still talk of camping out in it? If I can get a break from work, I'd drive from AR to do it!

There was some talk earlier this year about a small group of us camping out there, but it all kind of fell apart. I don't know when I'll get another chance to do it.

What the hell happened with that?! I was looking forward to it!

Couple of the members that were going had other things come up that prevented them from going for a while, couple of them moved away, etc. Not to say that we can't revive the idea. Need some input though from trusted people who have been to the site to know whether or not a campout there is even do-able.

| | | Im not sure if it was Kooda or Noah that suggested the overnighter idea. Im not sure I would try that at the Baker now. If you go at night be careful how you use your flashlight. [last edit 9/5/2007 11:26 PM by Explorer Zero - edited 1 times]

I know that violentrapture and I had talked about doing it, not sure how many others were involved. But since I haven't been there yet, I wanted to hear from someone who would know whether or not it would be a bad idea. It's hard to conceal a lot of things at night.

| | | Wow, those are some great pics violentrapture. Really amazing place. I've never seen anything like it. Only in my wildest dreams ;). So where is this place at. A town called Baker in Texas? And if you are planning an overnight trip, count me in. I would like to get a chance to meet a few of the southern UE'ers and maybe swap stories or something.

ummm... yeah! Yeah, Baker, Texas, right between Quanah and Paducah. That's the ticket! See you there!

I can't imagine anyone here being sarcastic about anything. Really upsets me to think about such things.

| | | Speaking of old Tx hotels, whatever happened to The Marshall, did they actually do the renovations or is it empty and gutted. The last pics I can find are from around 2002.

Do they make "silent" bells? Those would be the only kind I'd suggest but, you know it's up to you. It's been way too long since I've done anything interesting in the UE world so as long as it doesn't intersect my other plans, I'd be down with a camp out.
