| | | Whoa, I'm looking at the R3A with the 21/4 and the 40/1.4 . I'd prefer the cam with the A mode for quick shooting around the street and what not. The body isn't a fully metal but to me it felt quite sturdy. As you prolly know they accept the leica screwmount so there are tons of lenses available. They just released the R4M/A with has framelines for 21/25mm. If you're shooting a bunch of wide stuff it might be a better option: http://www.cameraq...voigt4m4aintro.htm

Ha, thanks for the response boy. I had read something about it taking the lecia lenses, but the odds of me affording one of those anytime soon is slim. They had a 15mm I was interested in.

It is indeed Jannx.....check his shots here... http://www.flickr.com/photos/jann/ That lens keeps me up at night with wide angle fantasies. It puts my 20mm EF to shame. Its size and cost also makes it incredibly sexy. Jannx's shots below. BCT and Canada Malt.

Don't discount the russian knock offs. Great value.

Actually the R3A is a "M" mount camera, but you can get an adapter that'll let you use a 39mm screwmount on an M mount. I shoot primarily with the Voigtlander 15mm and 21mm lenses, they are both fantastic. Their cameras are nice too--I usually use a "Bessa T" but I have a "Bessa L" and "Bessa R" as well, they all get used a lot and I've never had problems with them. They're plenty durable. The R4A with the wide-angle framelines is very tempting...I'm eager to see what others think of it once it comes out.

| | | I just picked up an R2. Very well built, it's no Leica, but for the price it's fantastic. The Voigtlander optics are also all very well respected.
