for some reason it will not let me in because it says that the event is not public. maybe it is because i am not a full member yet or something.

i am almost positive that i am going this weekend, on saturday, hopefully will get up there between 10 and 12, dont know an exact time quite yet.

Well the time is noon just to be general. That gives enough time for people to meet up and have good sunlight between 1230 and 1 (high noon) for pictures. That is if the sun comes out that day.

Tell me Scarecrow you didn't just say that!

I'll give you a "free pass" on this one and let you in on something in the process.....

High Noon is the WORST time of the day to shoot, normally the hours right after sunrise and right before sunset are considered the "golden" hours for photography. When you're shooting around high noon, expect harsh shadows, lack of texture in the landscape (meaning your pictures will look flat) and high contrast of the scene (meaning little detail in bright or dark areas).

But that's just what the "photographers" say, if you want harsh flat contrasty scenes, shoot away at high noon!

PS - Sometimes you've gotta do what you've gotta do though.

So, here are some good suggestions for getting the best results when having to shoot at High Noon:
