Bored one evening while in Mexico for work, I wandered the hotel grounds and found some interesting buildings, one definately abandoned, within the walls of the hotel compound! Look for yourself

I like this, "Recommendation: check it out if you're nearby"

Looks like fun though. Personally I'd be a little apprehensive about exploring in Mexico, considering the stories I've heard about Mexican police.

I've heard similar stories from a friend who tried to take several Land Rover 101's from Belize to Canada.
The hotel compound is enclosed by a 12' wall topped with razor wire - they really don't want uninvited guests! As I was staying there, if caught, I would just say I was lost and show him my room key.
Unfortunately though, the sun had already set and I had no flashlights with me, otherwise I would have seen if the chains on the back door were loose enough for me to squeeze in. Maybe next time, as the company I was doing work for is building a new plant in the area.
