Honestly, why would you want to contact him ? Nothing he said was true...

Aye, but it'd be fun to flood his e-mail account, and marvel at all the "I'm gonna extridite all of you to England and sue you for harassment" responses...
'Cause, you know, the British government will do that for him, in recognition of his 733t skillz.

I think when he talked about camping out at sites for days at a time, and using plastic explosives to distract guards and break down doors, his critical mass for unbelievability was reached.

Plus, he was an asshole.

He couldn't post pictures of his gear (because it was in his imagination), he couldn't even post a pic of an animal that he didn't steal from another site...

With a crowd like this, from pretty diverse and intelligent backgrounds, you have to be 'real' or you get flamed and obliviated into deletion.
Question though... How do you keep him from simply trying to join this board again under an assumed name?

Samurai: It's difficult, but we try. Unless someone has a static IP address, it's difficult to ban them from the site. The way we are attempting to keep this sort of thing from happening is by doing manual account set-ups, meaning that when a new account is created, a Mod has to manually accept, decline, or flag it for Av to take a look at. I know that one banned person in particular has been caught three or four times attempting to create a new account under a different name, so the system will work if we're careful.

As for Intalex/Twinturbo/Sewercoon, I'm hoping that blowhard doesn't manage to sneak his way back on to the forums. He was a plague, trying to push his fantasies as truths in an effort to try to impress the members of the forum. Jake, I would be very careful about believing anything that wanker had to say.

I'm curious... how many people have been banned from this forum? And is the most common reason that they are just jerks?

I'm not aware of very many - three, maybe? A pretty insignificant number, if you look at the size of the membership list. I know one person was banned for blatant racism, and then spamming the forum. Another was banned for spamming the forum, and most recently one was banned for being an absolute ass.

So, no, the most common reason is not for people being jerks. For the most part, they break the rules of the forum and are banned for that reason.

Intalex, ne_rob, Sarcasm, Beebo, NXcng or whatever, hmmmmm...

Anyone else?
Intalex for a variety of reasons, ne_rob for the reasons in the thread I posted, Sarcasm for trashing the forum and his insistence on refering to himself in the third person, NXcng for I don't remember what, Beebo if I remember correctly for his methods of entry to sites or what he did to sites.

*Puts up hand*

I've been banned. I would have liked to have one of those fancy "this member has been banned" special titles, but those are reserved for the people who are still banned. Oh well.

Didn't one of those guys advertise how he had stolen an ancient chalice from a museum being renovated or something?

EDIT: Found it

There's a place around here that had a pretty cool display of ancient artifacts. I'll admit that I like to steal (but not from people...nor would I take any historical documents. I guess that's my own code of ethics..) Anyway, I got myself a pretty cool gorgon (think Medusa) amulet from 100 BC. Later on, I found a full set of keys froma locked drawer. Now I can get anything I want at any time in less than 15 seconds.

Notice how this stemmed from, of all things, a lockpicking discussion....
