NO, it's in the Ukraine, but in 1986 it technically was Russia.

I know, except that in 1986 there was no country called "Russia". Anyway, I just had to say something beginning with "From what I understand..." 
Draug is also wrong. They let you enter the buildings, but usually the tours take you to the ones you see in most of the photographs, such as the school. I'm not sure, but could it be that they won't let you to the buildings outside the official tour?

I'm sure a few extra ruples given to the right hands will ensure that you can go places... believe it or not, most of teh buildings are safe to walk around in. The fairground has the highest radiation, from what I remember, and the large grassland between the plant and the city also has pretty high radiation.
i'd like to see that video with the mutant boars!

I will also be buying this game when it comes out. Apparently everything above-surface is sculpted to look like the real deal. Sounds awesome to me.
