(Viewed 277 times) trooper8   |  UAB steamtunnels? < on 12/5/2006 10:28 PM >   I know this is a longshot, but I'm wondering if anyone on this board has ever done exploring at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, and especially if anyone has gotten into the steam tunnels. . When I was a grad student there (until just a few months ago) I located the high-pressure steam pipes in several campus buildings, but was unable to enter the underground network. There were numerous manholes around campus that I believe led down there, but all of them were in conspicuous locations or in the middle of streets. Also, I considered trying to get into the physical plant itself but there are always people in there, it's too risky. So has anyone ever gotten down there?
