| | | | | | Updated Gallery Script on OpUrbex.Com... Now Pulls EXIF Data!!! < on 12/5/2006 1:57 AM >
| | | After a few hours of troubleshooting, i've come to the conclusion that as great of a script that simpleviewer is, it's also VERY limited, and IMO very poorly coded. I was able to sucessfully get simpleviewer to pull the EXIF data out of photos, via a modified buildgallery script. However, due to the limitations of simpleviewer i can only use a caption with no line breaks. This made it so i couldn't fit all the exif data i wanted. I had to leave out shooting mode, and flash. Although the exif data i do have listed should help anyone looking to get into manual photography in figuring out ideal settings.
So far i have it pulling F stop numbers, Exposure times, Zoom level (focal level), ad ISO. I don't feel the need to put any more exif data in, although the flash, and shooting mode would be nice if i could fit it... Anyone else who has information on how i CAN make it fit, and allow me to put line breaks in the caption feild, with the bottom alignment.
Anyway.... Here is the gallery. Take a peek. http://www.opurbex.com/?go=galhome

| | | i like the way it looks and works now, actually. i don't see a big need to post more info. the fstop, focal length and exposure time seem more than enough to me. unless you want to show time and date, but that might not be a good idea for legal reasons... site looks amazing. i am hooked.
