I am looking for a great place that i could shoot a short horror movie at. It can be illegal or legal, as i will track down the owner to get permission, so it can't be too bad or run down.
i'm doing a short horror about urban explorers who respond to an ad online to do an overnight photo session, and end up getting killed off by one of the group members.
Any suggestions?

It's not owned by the city. It's owned by Laborers International Union of North America.. they're complete assholes towards anything to do with Lister Block. They see the building as a huge burden on their part.
As a result, you're going to need a large budget to convince them.. since it's sealed up, with a guard and all. But, it would make the most ideal location. The 2nd and 3rd floors at night are immensely creepy. There's even a room with blue writing all around the walls.. much like The Shinning.
And neat idea with the movie. Let us know how it goes.

That's awesome! As for the interior, it's pretty safe. There are some sketchy areas. Can't wait to see the results.

I have to deal with these fuckers on a regular basis. The union is made up of approximately 92% thugs, crack heads and people so lazy, stupid and unqualified that were they not in a union there is no chance in hell that they could possibly get a job that pays a quarter of what their union wage is ($40/hour). The remaining 8% are decent, skilled workers and they are all employed by my parent's company.
