| | | | | | Bridge Climbers; How do you pull it off? < on 11/22/2006 11:14 PM >
| | | I've seen a few photo's in the past on UER that were taken from the tops of bridges, and other high structors that are usually high traffic and restricted from civilian access. I've always wanted to climb up the side of lets say the Geo or Tappenzee Bridge, or one of the many bridges in New York City, and take some pictures off the top of them... Gaining the balls to do it isn't the problem for me. I would LOVE to do it, but how do you guys get up to the top without being spotted and having the police called, ect?

| | | I dunno how the other bridge climbers go about it... but I'm of the feeling that if you have to ask on a public forum for this kind of information then you're probably not ready for it. PM or email at a bare minimum, but er...

| | | To be honest I have never found it necessary to actually climb a bridge. You should try public access or requesting access. Please don't try to climb it without experience, we don't want another dead explorer.

| | | You act like its a hard thing to do. Your not gonna die theirs steps a lot of the times.
Trying to win hearts and minds, but willing to splatter them if neccesary. |

Okay, I admit Free Baller is right. Just walk onto the bridge and find the stairs to the top. Stop at the mid-level cafeteria and grab a snack to eat at the top. Don't forget to grab some knick-knacks at the gift shop!

Dsankt advice is worth serious consideration, he's not joking. A bridge over a river is a lot more dangerous than a 100 foot water tank.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

| | | Free Baller is right as well, learn by doing. It's like exploring any other location but there are potentially far worse consequences and factors over which you have fuck all control.

A 30 foot fall were you land on your skull, you'll never tell what you saw.
