I've recently been doing more low light/night photography as the dark nights are here in the UK.

here's a few shots which I liked, and wondered if there was anything that could be changed...

cheers

man that first one is awesome. Can you do a longer exposure, like f8 iso 100 8 minutes? This would be incredible with some star trails!

I like it the way it is, personally.
Star trails are like the tea candles
of nighttime exteriors.

I'd be tempted to take #1 further back,
maybe at a different angle, and avoid getting
any ground in the shot.

Hey, nice shots. Other than longer exposures, either for star trails or blurred clouds on an overcast night, not much to say to improve these. Maybe colour balance, but with mixed lighting at night, it's all a matter of preference - I'd maybe lower the yellow, turning the sky an unnatural blue, but balancing the towers to the colour I would expect concrete to be. Of course, it's possible that the concrete really is that colour, but with night photography, a lot comes down to preference, since you're not accurately documenting what it was like to be there. The colour in the last shot is definitely off though - the yellow cast in the background is fine, but the control panel in front has a lot of magenta in it, I'd say either add green, or remove some red and blue (assuming you're working in rgb). All around, nice work.

I like those towers, have you seen these before?:

yep.

Hats off to you, sir. These are the best shots I've seen here in at least a month. I love how all of 1 is so bright, and your angle is very cool; I like the pseudo-symmetry. Two is really pretty as well. Great lighting and great work with the shadows. Four just plain kicks ass. That was an awesome but simple idea, and you really flew with it. Love the silhouettes. Thanks for sharing, I'd love to see more.

Man, I must say, I find those to be phenomenal shots, especially the first and third.

In one of my photography classes I studied some work by Michael Kenna that I really loved. I believe someone above me posted a link to some of his work. Are these the same towers?

One thing I would be interested in seeing is what you see when you look up while standing beneath those. Unless it's just a concrete slab, in which case that wouldn't be very interesting.
