A small trip....

Hi!

Me and a couple of my friends goes to a school in an old macaroni factory, around that school there are some abandoned silos and other buildings.

Yesterday we went out during to look at them. We found something......

We found an unlocked door to one of the building with silos, we went in...

Inside we felt a bit uneasy, the lights were on.
We continued in and found a contreate spiral stairway going both up to the next floor and down to teh floor below. One of my friends went down the stairs and found some gasmasks/dustmasks.

We all went down to that floor, but only two of us went down to the "basement" (the building is built on a large steep hill, since the "basement" is not completely in the ground and had large windows on one side, I don't want to call it a basment but since that is the best word to describe it I put quotes round it).

The "basement" was not to interesting so we who were down there went up again.

(At this time it rained and thundered so mutch that some parts of Stockholm were flooded although the rain only lasted for 45 min...)

We found a steel spiral stairway that went all the way to the top, floor 13. When we came to floor 7 there was almost to mutch dust in the air to breathe (we did not have any masks) so we quickly moved on to the next floor, mutch better.

At floor 12 we were really frightened by two birds. We found some more masks i a platic bag up here (not a seald bag), we found an open hatch i the floor and decided to close it so that there would be no risk of anyone falling in.

So one of my friends started to close it and he let go of it so that it wold slam shut, everyone held there ears and turned away from the hatch and waited for the bang, and waited for the bang, and waited for the bang.

When the bang never came we looked on the hatch and saw why there was no bang the hatch had stoped just a couple of centimetres short of a bang, we had a good laugh and went on upwards.

On floor 13 i slipped and dropped my mobile on the floor, my Sonyercsson k700i died painlessly as did all hope of getting the photos to my computer, and now I have to use a Nokia 5110 (a real brick).

On floor 13 we found av really wierd thing...
We found an ethernet cord that seemed to go from floor 13 down to floor 5 or something...

Now we noted that our lunchbraek were almost at it's end so we started to go back down the steel stairs.

That was our lunch that day!

IF you read the story, you'll notice that he said he broke his phone, which had the pictures on it.

Nice write-up, I wish I could take lunch breaks like that!

Hi!

I got a new phone with camera yesterday (k800i, 3.2 mega pixel camera), and I thought that you would like some photos of the place, since the door is still locked I have only photos from the outside, but they will give you an idea of how large the place was.

The pictures are not resized, all 56k users beware!

Photo 1: http://img167.imag...ge=dsc00144od7.jpg - Looking up from the bottom of the concrete silos

Photo 2: http://img73.image...ge=dsc00145co0.jpg - Looking out over the platform on which we found the unlocked door, the door is behind the corner to the left

Photo 3: http://img162.imag...ge=dsc00147mf5.jpg - Looking up in between the metal and the concrete silos

Photo 4: http://img71.image...ge=dsc00150fs7.jpg - Looking at the metal silos from the waterside

I don't have any more pictures, but if you wish I think I can manage to take some more.

I like the Holgaesque image quality your cell phone(?) produces. The site looks neat, too.
