A safer headlamp

Found this little guy on Petzl's work solutions site. It's basically a version of one of their popular climbing/backpacking headlamps, modified for work in places with combustibles present:

http://en.petzl.co...en.jsp?Section=Pro

I wanted one of these headlamps even before I saw this industrial model.

They also make a model called the Taktikka for hunting and such, which includes colored lenses, good for staying low-key. You can buy these lenses seperate if you'd rather have the combustible-safe model.

(Edit: added more info)

It seemed like a good idea at the time...

I just bought a Princeton Tec Quad headlamp. Excellent LED light if anyone is in the market for a headlamp that costs under $30. I would highly recommend this light.

If you ever fall off the Sears Tower, just go real limp, because maybe you'll look like a dummy and people will try to catch you because, hey, free dummy

That is an excellent headlamp. Mine's very similar: the Petzl Tikka Plus. Four LEDs, three levels of brightness. I'm buying a colored lens set for it so it'll be prettymuch the same as the Taktikka Plus. (I'm getting a pro-discount on Petzl gear through my work)

It seemed like a good idea at the time...
