Probably not that soon... I cant imagine being able to wrangle everyone who realistically wants to go and make it worthwhile any earlier than the 21st or so....
I'd vote for the 21st being the target date.... Anyone else?

I say we try for a big meet on the 14th. I'm gonna try and go out this Saturday as well. PM if you want to join.
I went out to the oil refinery in Norwalk again last night and shot a roll of film out there, will post as soon as they're scanned.

| | | | I'm new to this site, too (joined in June of 2006), and I've just started posting. I'm in San Diego. The best days for me are Saturdays and Sundays. I am self-employed, though, so I can possibly arrange my work schedule to meet on a weekday. I prefer weekends, though.
I have found three abandoned mines (the Ella Mine Group) up near Julian that are within easy hiking distance of each other (less than 10 minutes apart). You access the old Ella Mine Road off of Banner Grade. I haven't yet explored these mines, but want to SOON! If anybody is up for heading up there, let me know. Let's talk!! I havent gone in yet cause it was night time and my flashlight was low on batteries. My girlfriend, a few friends and i went up to the gate of the underground parking structure and head a moan and ran like hell cause it scared us. But im very interested in exploring it. I also want to know about other places in the south orange county area that seem interesting

The preschool is pretty neat, I've been there too. There's roof access from the center of the building, which gives a nice view of the freeway. Tons of graffiti, though, unfortunately. I shot a few clips for a short film I did out on that site one night with a small crew.
There are some photos of the abandoned restaurant behind Costco somewhere around here. I remember seeing them, looked pretty torn up. Still, I'd like to check it out one night as well.

The 28th is Monster Massive in LA! How about that Friday night beforehand, the 27th? I need to get my schedule for the weekend of the 20th, as I'll be on a film set most of the weekend, but if we get off for the night, I could come then.
