I haven't been there, but everytime I walk by it, I wish I was inside those walls. Is it interesting, and awesome in there? I would very much like to explore that place, on all floors, despite the construction. Is it still worth our time?

Is it interesting? Yes. Is it awesome? Yes. Is it do-able? Hell no. 24 hour security. There's also a ton of hazards including asbestos abatement. I wouldn't go in there without a P100 rated filter mask.

Yeah, I would love to see that place, too. But it's nice that they are at least renovating it though.

The abatement has been long finished. As for the 24 hour security that is no longer as well. But when you have the chance is when they are working, you just have to be smooth and walk right on in. Chances of getting caught are really good, but the risk is worth it in my opinion. If you were to get caught they would just escort you out of the building.

I say if you want to try it, go for it and git r done.

It's pretty amazing. I wonder how long the place was abandoned before the reno..? Anyone know a definitive time?

The hotel owners gave up the property in November 2004 rather unexpectedly. People came to work that day and were told to leave because they no longer had jobs. The hotel sat for what I'd estimate was 6 months before Vanbots started ripping asbestos out of the place. There isn't much happening right now on the place, it's pretty quiet actually compared to the last couple of months.

You'd probably have a better chance of getting in now than before, but its still way too risky for me.
