closed/abandoned toys r us?

hey guys, i was driving to work down harbor blvd in anaheim today and noticed a large, kinda desolate looking fenced off building. a sign on the side said toys r us and the whole building looked like it had been neglected awhile (the usual crappy looking paint, etc). security looks to be rather light, since theres only a temporary chain link fence around it. that also mean that theyre getting ready to turn it into another hotel for disneyland. just felt like sharing, since i wont be able to go check it out since i gotta pack and be off at college by friday. so if anyone checks it out lemme know.

im pretty sure the location is on the east side of harbor, between orangewood and chapman.

I'll check it out this week and report back, I'm right in that neighborhood (Orange). Give me a day or two.

Don't be bashing on everyone's favorite toystore! I think it'd be fun.

Anyway, I found a good place to park in a neighborhood right near the store and I'm gonna be headed that way this afternoon.

So results from the recon mission... It looks like most of the doors (there's only a few) are pretty well locked up. There's one easy access gate on the west (I believe) side near the bank of america. if you jumped on the box on the wall and hopped the fence, you'd be in pretty easily. There's a loading area in the back and I figure that'd be the easiest access point. We were going to hop the fence and check it out (plenty of cover from the main street, and possible roof access back there) but there was a homeless guy offering us a place to stay for the evening. We tried to ask him about what was going on inside the building, but he seemed unsure. I think the loaded area (see local.live.com's bird's eye view) would be the best place to find an entry point. Around the rest of the building there is little to no cover in terms of finding an entrance - and i think it's just a solid wall on one side anyway.

I'm gonna head back there one night this week and see if an opportunity presents itself.
